Nausea During Menopause
You’ve heard of women suffering from hot flashes and night sweats, but few complain of nausea during menopause. Nausea is much more common than we think. It has been linked to hormone deficiency, but usually accompanies other menopause symptoms, including headaches, fatigue and dizziness.
Nausea during menopause can closely resemble morning sickness. Before you even get out of bed, you have a headache and are sick to your stomach. Or you might still be getting an occasional period with a side of nausea.
What should you do to stop the nausea? There are many herbal teas on the market that can provide some relief, such as peppermint or ginger teas. Watch what---and how often---you eat, as certain foods might upset your stomach. If all else fails, consider ginger ale and crackers.
